What's In A Name?

The name "Southern Pride Services" is more than just a catchy, fictitious business name. We aim to bring meaning and quality to all dimensions of our company, including our name.

"Southern" is the formal representation of the region that we are based. It embodies all of the positive characteristics of southern living and qualities of South Carolina, specifically. Everything from our southern hospitality to strong sense of community.

"Pride" is almost self-explanatory. We take pride in every aspect of our company from our customer service, to the quality of our work, to the website you're reading right now. We believe that it is important to impart this sense of pride in our name.

"Services." We have a long list of services to offer that is constantly being upgraded. The ending of our company name is left somewhat vague and open for interpretation intentionally. We offer an array of services and did not want to confine ourselves to a specific skill set in the present or for future expansion.

The literal reasoning of the words themselves  is not very deep, but  together comprise the essence of our company and the values we stand for.

Our Logo:

Designed by Co-Founder Jake Hostetter, our three-part logo is a culmination of recognizable elements from our home state.

The Oak Tree: The oak tree is a common southern tree and symbolically represents endurance and strength. Two qualities that every company needs to survive.

The Shovel: A shovel is the basic building block for all modern day tools. It represents our history and the grass roots level we came from and proudly represent. For most, the shovel is the first tool ever used and will probably be used most frequently. It is versatile and a tool that everyone can relate to.

The Grass: To be more specific, Indian Grass. Indian Grass is South Carolina's official state grass as of 2001. It is a tall-growing perennial, warm-season grass.
